Larissa Warren, herself a ceramic artist and potter, looks at the careers and works of two Queensland studio potters, Cootch

Memmott and Kitty Breeden, who produced pottery from the 1940s into this century. She shows how their production was

influenced by new products in the kitchen that often superseded ceramics, how they adapted and sought niche markets, and

took up teaching the many people who wanted to learn how to express their creativity through the medium of clay.
